John C. Westfall, 57, of Greenville, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016 at 7:40 p.m. at his residence surround by his loving family and friends. He was born on March 19, 1958 in Darke County, to the late John M. Westfall, DVM & Patricia A. (Wetzel) Westfall.
John is survived by his siblings, Cindy & Kim Smith of Pickerington, Carolyn & Michael Shockley of Dayton, Cheri & Rob Davidson of Hilliard, David & Gwen Westfall of St. Augustine, Fla.; nieces and nephews, Zachary (Angela) Smith, Lucas (Angie) Smith, Brenton (Kellie Coffman) Smith, Samantha Davidson, Alex Davidson and Sarah Davidson; three great nephews; one great niece; as well as numerous loving caregivers and best friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
John worked at Wills Greenhouse, which was his favorite job, for 7 years as well as Wayne Industries for 30+ years. He was a member of Bible Fellowship Church in Greenville. He enjoyed the Darke County Special Olympics and volunteering and attending Main Street Greenville events.
There will be a service held on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Bible Fellowship Church, 7757 Greenville Celina Road, Greenville, with Pastor Chris Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery, Covington. Family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville.
John was an innocent and kind spirited person who touched every life that crossed his path. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
