Jets top Indians in cross-state showdown

UNION CITY, Ind. – Following a tough conference loss Friday night against Ansonia, the Franklin Monore boys basketball team traveled into Indiana on Saturday looking to rebound against the Union City Indians.

After a 10-10 first quarter, the Jets took the lead and held off the Indians for the 74-62 victory. This was the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

The Jets were led in scoring by Ethan Conley with 29 points and freshman Ky Cool with 17. Top scorers for UC were Zerrin Cantu and Bryten Stewert, both with 14 points, followed by Hunter Reagan who added 12.
