Historical group plans dinner

COVINGTON – The Newberry Covington Historical Society presents its annual Ham & Bean/Chili Dinner Fundraiser on Sept. 10, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the historical Ft. Rowdy Museum, 101 E. Spring St., Covington.

All proceeds benefit the Newberry Covington Historical Society.

The cost for the all-you-can-eat dinner is $6. Pies and Suzies’ Big Dipper Ice Cream will be available to purchase.

Live entertainment will include the National Anthem performed by Trinity Bates at 11:58 a.m., Joseph Helfrich at noon, Peeples Family Gospel Group at 1 p.m. and local talent from 2-4 p.m.
