Dana Sue Harp, age 66, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at 7:15 p.m., Friday, June 19, 2020, at her residence.
Dana was born January 4, 1954, in Wabash, Indiana, to the late Robert J. and Mary Patricia (Pease) Van Meter. In addition to her parents, Dana was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Van Meter.
Dana is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bruce A. Harp, whom she married January 30, 1972; children, Shawna and Steven Daniels of Belton, Missouri, Heather Lawson of Minot, North Dakota, Patrick Harp of Grand Haven, Michigan and MSgt. Aaron and Vanessa Harp of Croughton, England; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Deb Van Meter of Troy, Ohio, Daniel Van Meter of Montana, Michael Van Meter of Kansas and Tony and Karen Van Meter of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Vickie and Bill Tackett of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dana was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Family was a very important part of Dana’s life. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Greenville and the Relief Society of the church.
A celebration of Dana’s life will be held at a later date.
