Greenville loses to Tipp, slips to 0-2

GREENVILLE – The Greenville Green Wave has had some major bumps in the road to begin the 2014 football season. Their star quarterback is out for at least four weeks with a wrist injury and now the team is winless after two games.

Greenville had hopes to get a week two win in their home opener against the Red Devils of Tippecanoe. Back up QB sophomore Kyle Phillips was able to keep the Wave within striking distance going into the second half, only down 14-7. A few fourth quarter failures to keep drives alive and move the chains killed any chance at Greenville pulling a win off in front of a packed Good Samaritan Stadium at Harmon Field. Final score was 42-14, putting the Wave at 0-2 on the season.

Greenville will get another shot at home in week three, as they play host to Preble Shawnee.
