GREENVILLE – The students of the month for April 2018 from Greenville High School Career Tech Center are Owen Paulus and Leslie Lauth. Selections were made by high school staff on the basis of service, reliability, and achievements in their Career Tech program.
Owen, a senior in the engineering program, is a positive role model for students in his class. He is always willing to help out in any way in the classroom and out of the classroom. He is someone the teachers know they can count on to assist them. Owen has maintained honor roll while also taking college classes. He is very deserving of this award.
Leslie is a senior in Careers with Children. She is a role model for all students and the preschoolers. Leslie worked really hard on her FCCLA project and reached her goal of qualifying for Nationals. She is currently working in Mrs. McLear’s (kindergarten), Mrs. Rieman’s (2nd Grade), and Mrs. Evers’ (3rd Grade) classrooms each week at Greenville Elementary. All teachers have commented about how wonderful she is to have around their students. She is always smiling and willing to help with any task.
Both students are very deserving of this award for April 2018. The students received a plaque, special parking space, and a gift certificate donated by the Maid-Rite Sandwich Shoppe.
