Drug investigation leads to traffic stop and arrest

GREENVILLE – On Sept. 6, the Greenville Police Department conducted a drug investigation in the 400 block of East Fifth Street. As a result of the investigation, a traffic stop was conducted in the 600 block of Martin Street.

A K-9 unit from the Darke County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene. Dion Small, 41, of Dayton, was arrested and cited for operating a vehicle under the influence and issued additional citations for possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to reinstate his driver’s license and a window tint violation. The incident remains under investigation and further criminal charges are pending.
