GREENVILLE – Miles Davis, 33, of Greenville, was ordered Thursday by Darke County Common Pleas Judge Jonathan P. Hein to serve the remaining 26 days of his 30-day sentence for burglary.
Davis told Hein he was looking to make a fresh start by enrolling at Hobart Welding School, which he said is slated to begin next month.
Hein ordered Davis to begin the remainder of his jail time as soon as Thursday’s hearing was finished.
Davis also received up to 60 months of community control sanctions, which will include completing 100 hours community service, drug testing, completing substance abuse and mental health evaluations as directed by the court, and paying court costs. Davis was indicted last September on one count of burglary, a 2nd degree felony.
He was represented by defense attorney David Rohrer.
