CareFlight responds to three vehicle crash at US127 & OH121

GREENVILLE – On September 13, 2018 at approximately 2:40 p.m., Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Township Rescue, Greenville Township Fire, Ohio State Highway Patrol Motor Carrier inspector, and CareFlight were dispatched to the intersection of US 127 and State Route 121 in reference to a accident with injury.

Preliminary investigation revealed a white 2017, Chevrolet Express van driven by Dustin Underwood (25) of Greenville was traveling North on US 127. Mr. Underwood failed to maintain assured clear distance striking the rear of a silver 2011 Nissan Altima, driven by Garry Gray (64) of Celina, who was slowing for a 2019 Volvo tractor trailer driven by David Bullard (50) of Ansoina. Mr. Bullard was slowing to make a right turn onto State Route 121 on ramp. Mr. Gary’s vehicle struck Mr. Bullard’s semi before coming to rest. Mr. Gary had to be extracted by Greenville Township Fire and Rescue. Mr. Gary was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by Careflight and his condition is unknown at this time. Mr. Underwood and Mr. Bullard were treated and released at the scene by Greenville Township rescue.

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
