Eldery woman robbed at Walmart, suspects sought

GREENVILLE – On Friday, Oct. 21, approximately 5 p.m., officers from the Greenville Police Department responded to a call regarding a theft at Walmart on Wagner Ave. Upon arrival, it was discovered a purse and its contents had been stolen from an 83-year-old woman’s grocery cart. It appears three suspects were part of the theft, which are believed to be captured by surveillance video from the store.

UPDATE: As of  Oct. 26 the Greenville Police Department states that they have received an overwhelming response from the community with tips that helped the department identify the individuals responsible. Charges are expected to be filed as the case will be presented to a Grand Jury this week.
